These cards come from Jiangyan near Shanghai. There are four of each of the 30 cards shown below plus the five above. They are used to play a trick taking game. There are three suits, coins, strings and myriads. The symbols at the top and bottom of the cards are used for a quick selection, each number has the same symbol. The game must be similar to the Ceki from Indonesia but I haven't found the specific instructions for these cards yet.
It seems that the five cards above may be used in the way of jokers or wild cards. The characters read GOOD FORTUNE, PROSPERITY, LONG LIFE, ENJOYMENT, and WEALTH
