piacentine:   modiano

The Piacentine deck is from Piacenza, a province in the Emilia-Romagna region of northern Italy.

The suits are Spanish-like with Coppe (Cups), Ori or Denari (Golds or Coins), Spade (Swords) and Bastoni (Clubs).

The Piacentine design is similar in some degree to the Romagnole deck also from the Emilia-Romagna region, but these are more finely detailed. Also the Re (King), Caval (Knight), and Fante (Knave) are double headed.
