ITA_carte%20toscane%20%205_edited.jpg

Adolfo Matarelli, a designer and caricaturist, was among the best in 19th century Italy.  He was born in Florence in 1832 and died in S. Gregorio Bergamasco in 1877.

Adolfo designed these cards in about 1850. They are transformation cards where the pips are inserted into the card design in interesting and amusing ways.

This limited edition of 1000 was reprinted by "IL MENEGHELLO" in Milan, Italy, 1996.
